I heard it was monumental
What should have been obviously constitutional
Took some time but now we influential
like pairs

One One Six
I saw with eyes clear
Reaching for what was always there

I live in two worlds
Unashamedly
At least that’s what I’m trying to be
Yes, Jesus gives me hope
but the sight of
Women in Congress
gives me strength to hold it
Like pairs
Man and Woman
Spiritual and Tangible
Breaking glass ceilings
Metaphorical yet Literal
so we can reach the heavens

Knowing not just that we were
full of potential
But that we are
Moving forward
